Should we be less judgemental and empathise with a narcissist ?

I mean the reason someone develops this disorder in the first place is mostly due to child hood trauma and not receiving enough love and affection from their family etc so it’s not really their fault right? Whether that may be the case or not what is disheartening is that people with this disorder won’t get help. I’m not saying anyone should stay and put up with their behaviour because the chances of a narcissist getting help is slim to none snd most likely will never change who they are but you can still love and care for a narcissist from a distance right?

i've already thought about it and considering that i too have had my traumas and i try to overcome them without hurting others, the best help i can currently offer the narcissist is my absence.

    Yes from a distance.

You can not trust them at all.

You will NEVER win with a narcissist.  They are always right & never ever wrong.  They will argue even if they are wrong.  I just cut the ties to two friends that are narcissistic, neither one gave a damn about my feelings or wants, it is all about them.  Them, them, them.  Get away & stay away.  They create their own nightmares & blame it on others.  I got sick & tired of walking on eggshells for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time & got a severe tongue lashing for it.  One gets tired of being their kicking post.

The chances of a person having narcissistic personality disorder is extremely rare. Less than 1% of the population. However it is incredibly common to idly diagnose people around you as if you were a qualified psychologist.
