There are no Jews to speak of in neighboring countries; they have all been forced out or killed.  Israel, when it was founded, allowed all residents to stay as full citizens as long as they were willing to live peacefully.  That is why 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs [or Palestinians in more current language.]  During the 400 years of the Ottoman Turkish Empire, there was no "Palestine" officially; before that, it had been a Roman Province and then got passed back and forth between Muslim and Christian empires.  In the late 1800s the Jews began calling the area Palestine informally, as they wanted to develop their own government there.  Arabs didn't particularly like the term Palestine until 1967. 

Israel won it's wars the Indians lost theirs.

Sounds like a dream that will never happen....................
