This isn't wartime. Having Democrats running the country is hell. Imagine that one of the troops had to be a whistleblower to let people know how crappy they are being treated. I suppose they were told to keep quiet about the crappy conditions the Democrats have left them in.

They should be given a daily stipend so they can dine on local cuisine. There are many excellent restaurants in the DC area who will welcome their patronage.

It's unsustainable to maintain that many National Guard in DC unless they build a barracks there.
Their food should be purchased from another source and be prepared by military cooks.
Either that or send them about their usual duties.
