Ah, yes, Tenerife.  The site of the worst aviation disaster in history.

Best place on Earth?  Try Darwin in the Northern Territories of Australia. It's 'Crocodile Dundee' country. When you in the bush its snakes that bite and kill, and 'salties' (salt water crocodiles) They're big beasts that roll you over and over to kill you . 

Also try Kamchatka Peninsula in Siberian Russia, Volcanoes and Big Bears.

Lousy weather.   Like they have Hurricanes.
