What method of cooking; in your opinion, is best for cooking a steak?
There is pressure cooker, frying pan, outdoor grill, baking, foreman grill. I bought some delicious steak for first time in my life; and have no idea which way to go about it of the methods. Suggestions?

The absolute best method to me is a charcoal (lump coal) grill. Far superior in taste to a gas grill.
If indoors, I’d say the best way is to sear it on a cast iron skillet. By searing it, I mean get that pan HOT.
Either way, make sure to rub olive oil on it, grind sea salt and pepper corns ( I like a lot of pepper), on don’t budge it too soon when cooking. You only need to flip it once. Also, I like mine medium rare. Figure out how done you want yours and test it with a thermometer. Pull the steak off the grill about 15 or 20 degrees colder then you want it done to and wrap it in tinfoil to rest for a 5 or 10 minutes. The meat will be hot enough that it will continue to cook inside and get a little hotter internally. Otherwise you will overshoot the doneness that you want and it will be overcooked. Also letting it rest helps with the juices. And enjoy!

A good steak is hard to mess up. My wife this week cooked two inch thick rib eyes in a George Foreman grill, and they were great. Probably the most foolproof way is to vacuum seal them and cook them sous vide at 131.5° F in a circulating water bath, then sear them in a red hot cast iron skilled to get a maillard reaction crust. I've done top round that way, and they were technically perfect, but not the best cut. Some restaurants sear the steaks as above from raw, insert an indwelling thermometer and finish to medium rare in an oven. An outdoor grill is no place to start for an inexperienced cook.

I prefer charcoal cooked steak.
In the winter time, I have mastered cooking a steak in my cast iron pan.
Either way, perfect Every time! Just rub w/ olive oil, salt and pepper, then cook.
For medium rare steak, depending on how thick it is, I usually cook it for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, and let it rest off the heat source for 5 minutes.

If I can't put it on a fire I will eat something else. Our steaks are choice and run $15.99/lb. It's offensive to put such meat in a pressure cooker.

This question cannot be answered properly without knowing the cut of meat and the thickness, and how you like it done.

It kind of depends on where you live. For example, I live in an apartment building, so i cannot grill outside. Yet I have two options: Broiler or Iron skillet. I would use an iron skillet if the steak were of the correct shape and does not have a bone in it. I would broil it if it does have a bone in it. I prefer the skillet method as I cook it with garlic, rosemary and butter.
