when you buy a bowie knife is it meant to be razor sharp?
because i was slightly disappointed with my new expensive bowie knife which i bought online, im in the uk....and my only complaint is that it doesn't have a razor edge? otherwise, i'm happy with the knife, it appears to cut through cardboard easily enough.
would i have ruined the edge by cutting cardboard?but, straight up question, are bowie knives usually meant to have a razor edge?

Yes it can do any chore but if you want it sharp you must sharpen it.
