No money in a lawsuit ?
Hey guys just curious if a plaintiff sues a defendant and wins the case how can the plaintiff get money from the defendant that has no bank account no credit cards etc.? Does the law seize items to pay the amount? Thanks for all answers.

If a defendant has no money, then there is no money to get. You cannot squeeze juice from a rock. The law does nothing, that is not their responsibility. Lawsuits are a civil matter, not criminal.

that is the succesful plaintiff's problem. he must locate assets to seize if payment is not readily forthcoming. it is your attorney's job to counsel you to not sue if there is little prospect of collecting

You have to put a lien on it or wait until such time that they buy something in their name or have money.

Usually, the judgment is presented to the defendant and is asked to pay. If he refuses, there are several avenues he can take to obtain his money. Through credit cards is NOT one of those avenues. The law can seize items to pay a debt but, the plaintiff would have to take the steps to have that done. Hire a lawyer to collect your debt.

Most reputable lawyers would ask why you are suing someone with no money? The lawyers will want their money upfront from you
