I use a free app that has various sounds like ocean waves, thunderstorms, ticking clocks etc. Music demands too much attention.

For sleeping a hissing sound called "brown noise" does the trick. Sometimes I mix a crackling campfire. There are other color sounds as well. The duration can be timed to shut of after an hour or so. Or all night.
