When we were first married we had absolutely 

nothing, so we were very grateful for anything 

and everything. Each was an absolute treasure. 

A few gifts that stood out (some we still have and 

use even 45 years later) were mostly kitchen things, 

such as a crockpot, a pair of cast iron skillets, a juice 

press, a rice maker, ... stuff like that. 

Money is always good.  A gift certificate for a home improvement store might also be appreciated.
