What are some jobs to get if you have an MFA in Creative Writing?

Probably should have asked that question BEFORE spending all that money on a degree with no idea how to use it to get a job, huh?

This is a maddening feature of our obsession with college (and a big part of the reason so many people object to forgiving student loans). Thousands and thousands of people all spending tens of thousands of dollars each to go get a degree -- and THEN they try to figure out how to get a job with it. That is completely backwards. Figure what you want to do first, then go get the degree to do that. Don't spend $40,000 on a degree planning on that getting you a job before you know what the jobs are.

You can become a teacher, if you get a teaching certificate.

There are no jobs that market to MFAs in creative writing.  There are jobs that exist like ghost writing or blog writing but you will have to seek those out via networking.
