If a mask prevents COVID and a vaccine prevents COVID, should we only be requiring unvaccinated people to wear masks?

A statistical analogy would be that a cloth mask, that the vast majority of people wear, will prevent them from getting hit by a car while walking down the street by an extra 2%.

Masks do not prevent COVID. They merely reduce the risk somewhat.

The same for vaccinations but they reduce the risk much more than masks.

    No.

Covid (like the flu) is transmutable.

The Covid vaccine is between 89% and 96% effective.

No vaccine so far is 100% effective.

Masks help to slow the rate of transmission, so even vaccinated people need to wear masks to protect others and be protected.

Lets be honest, it isn't rocket science is it.
