Is soccer my dream?

I've been playing soccer for several years. I really love soccer and can't live without it. So the thing is, I'm a girl. As a girl in thailand it's really hard for me to find a place to play. In my area there are men playing locally and absolutely no girls. So I play with the guys. I get ridiculed quite a lot, and many guys have called me weak, and judge my soccer skills by my gender. Nowadays I've become really good and the guys don't judge me as much as before. Now I'm training to be a pro. But, I'm not sure if I actually want to go pro. So the thing is, whenever I play semi pro matches, I just hate it. It's not fun for me. I hate the feeling. If I just lived a simple life, had a simple job, but was able to play soccer as a hobby. I would be happy. But if I get a job in the city, it would be hard for me to be able to play, even just for fun. Even if I found a soccer place close to work. It would be weird for me, as a girl, to try and play with the guys. They would judge me, and they wouldn't play seriously with me. The only reason why I can play right now, is because I've been playing with these guys for years. And they have finally accepted me, and saw me for who I am as a player. But if I move away and try to start playing somewhere else where the guys don't know me. I'd have to go through all the judgement again. Now I don't know the reason why I'm pursuing soccer. Is it cause I dream of going pro? Or am I just scared that if I don't go pro, I won't have soccer at all?

For those who think I value the friendship over the game. I'm not trying to be petty or anything, but that is completely false. I go to play, just to do that, to play. I'm actually not even close with any of the guys. We don't hangout and we don't chat. I play with them because that is my only option, not because I like hanging around with them. We don't text, and if we talk, it's just small talk. If I wanted to hangout, I would just ask them to hangout, not go and play soccer. And the reason why I don't like playing semi pro matches is because the game is way more serious. Yes, I like playing seriously, but competing and just playing are two different things.when I play here with the guys, we do play seriously, we just don't have any pressure to play perfectly, and the stress isn't as high like a competition. If I didn't care for the game, I wouldn't play simple as that. Why would I go through all the judgement and pain just to hang around? I always put my all into the game. When you start getting into semi pro competitions things start getting really serious. The stress and the pressure of the game can ruin the fun. That's why many prefer not to compete. It's not that they don't want to play, the do, but they want it to be fun. For some, yes, serious competitions are fun. I'm just not sure if it's for me. In serious games, it's not just about fun. Eyes will be on you, the coach will be closely watching, if you make mistakes you will be taken out of the game. If you mess up your teammates will shout at you, your coach will be disappointed in you. And you will question yourself. There are so many aspects of the competition that can ruin the enjoyment of the sport. I still somewhat enjoy serious competitions, just not that much. And to become a pro, you need to put 120%

It's not that I don't care about the sport. I'm just not sure if I'm willing to go through the hardships of becoming a pro. If I didn't care, I wouldn't be playing daily while others ridicule me.

Honestly, sounds like you prefer the community rather than the game. You like the friendship you have with those guys and want to keep that. Hell during Covid i think a fair few have realised they preferred the friends at the football rather than the actual football. If you loved the game, you'd love playing regardless. Have a think about that one, is it the game itself, or the friends you play with...
