Use a washing maching with the temperature set to "warm," as opposed to cold, or hot.

That would be a 40 deg setting, no higher. TBH when I see that sort of thing I would hand wash it and then cool rinse and only use the machine on the spin cycle, and then dry naturally. (When things go wrong it is usually with the tumble drying.)
