Is it weird that I want my period?

1st period meant you were a woman

It’s not weird at all. There are tons of young people who want to get their first period already. I guess young people just think that getting it means you’re all “grown up” or make them feel like a women. I used to want my period too until I actually got it, now I wish I could enjoy not having it for longer. It’s not a bad or weird thing to want your period at all, it’s a common thing. 

I was desperate when I was younger because I wanted to be able to classify myself as a woman and feel “grown up.” No matter how many times people told me periods suck, I still wanted to have mine. Now that I’ve had mine, I hate being on my period. I’m not the first to deal with this nor am I the last. Others feel this way, too. It’s completely normal.

If you are looking forward to your first, it just means you want to grow up.  In the old days the 1st period meant you were a woman, not a girl.

If you are older and sexually active, having a period means that you have no pregnancy worries for this month.

Neither is weird.
