Sounds like they are getting along just fine.  Normal animal behavior. It is the interaction of two different species.

Why is my dog a cat rapist? Shes too interested in cats, especially our cat we call "******" lol she loves licking his face, feet and asshole. Today my mom complained she cleaned his hole out while she was having breakfast. She does get nasty when he eats her kibble tho

The signals and behaviors that cats and dogs use to communicate are different and can lead to signals of aggression, fear, dominance, friendship or territoriality being misinterpreted by the other species. Dogs have a natural instinct to chase smaller animals that flee, an instinct common among cats.
