Is Lenny Henry only on Comic Relief because no one else wants his repetive and limited comedy?

His career without Comic relief died about 20 years ago.

He is one of the reasons I don't watch that cringy trash he's as funny as lung  cancer. 

Probably but in truth, I didn't watch other than for 15 minutes before the 10 o'clock news after something I'd recorded, ended.   I did note that he has lost a ton of weight.

I can't stand him and he only does comic relief for the publicity. I don't know why he's even called a comic as he's not remotely funny.

He ‘owns’ comic relief.

Gives him a chance to grab a bit of media attention every few years.

Regurgitating the sad old unfunnies for decades.

Lenny H is the brains behind Comic Relief which has raised well over £1 BILLION  so for that he's earned his knighthood.Can't argue with that.However ... as a comedian/ actor/ entertainer he's lived off his reputation for being such a nice guy as as opposed to being actually good.

Apart from Tiswas. 

I didn't think he was still on TV.  I thought he was something to do with the House of Lords, but I may be mistaken.
