What is voice acting like in Mexico?
American voice acting is a seemingly overlooked profession where regular movie actors also get to incorpate animation voice acting as part of their acting jobs in mostly live action movies.
Brazilian voice acting requires dedication and even if there were other celebrities doing voice acting in animation, they only seem to like it when voice acting was done by people going to voice acting schools.
Japanese voice acting is complex. It belongs to a medium that belongs to everybody.
Might I add, in America, women can have male character roles. I don't know if it's allowed in other countries or it's banned in other countries because of gender sensitivity laws.

Don’t know about Mexico but as an American actor I don’t think voice acting is an “overlooked profession” at all.
Voice acting IS acting so of course companies are going to hire experienced actors for their roles. Especially if they want a “name” actor who can draw an audience.
But there are many actors who specialize in animated voice acting or in video game acting or audio book narration or any of the other niche acting genres. And there is a lot specialized training in voice acting similar to how there’s training in stage combat or auditioning or commercial work.
But professional acting is an extremely competitive career. There are far more people interested in acting then there are roles. Plus every acting job is temporary so an actor always has to worry about when/if they’ll get another job. So most actors are not going to limit themselves to just one small area like animated voice acting.
