    People would be so much more pleasant if it was, but alas, it is merely an urban legend. Some psychedelics are making a comeback as part of therapy programs for people with conditions like PTSD and chronic pain, though. You should read about it, it's fascinating stuff with some very promising research behind it.

    Of course no lsd is being added to tap water.  Why ever would anyone want to do that?

    Maybe, but there is no way there would be enough in the water to have an effect, so for the most part this is an urban legend.
