Active Transport- the movement of molecules, ions, across the membrane in the region of higher concentration. It is done with the consumption of energy.

Exocytosis- it is the transport mechanism in which cellular substances are packed into membrane bound vesicles to the cell membrane and thrown out of the cell.

Endocytosis- it is the process in which the cell takes up the substances from outside the cell by forming vacuole around it

Phagocytosis- process in which the cell engulfs a big particle such as a bacteria and forms a phagosome.

Pinocytosis- (cell drinking water) taking up water molecules inside the cell by forming vacuoles from membrane
