How is it that Las Vegas has more indoor shopping malls than Phoenix? Isn’t Phoenix supposed to be a bigger city?
Not only more indoor malls but not dying malls either. Phoenix just lost Metro Center which was considered their largest mall.

Great ?. City planners in Phx are idiots! It's too damn hot here to be jumping from one store to another when it's 110 degrees out. And it's like they want to limit areas where kids can hang out too! Every school district goes on breaks on different weeks because they don't want all the kids out at once 'loitering'. Annoying!

Las Vegas gets a lot more visitors. People go to Las Vegas to spend money, I am not sure that is the same motivation for going to Phoenix.
