Persian fable: A rug merchant was selling beautiful hand-crafted Persian carpets for a 100 drachmas each. A fellow merchant said he could be selling them for much more than a mere 100 drachmas. The merchant was puzzled. "Do you mean there's a bigger number than 100?"

$7.25 an hour for 40 hours is $290. Less 15% taxes is $246.50. Times 4 weeks (if he gets paid monthly) is $986.00 a month. So yeah, across most of the southern states who still a have that minimum wage. Even making $10.00 and hour (less taxes) and it would still be true.. .

Yes lol. Are you kidding???
Many people live paycheck to paycheck and work low wages and pay too many taxes.
My checks at walmart were 550 to 600 every 2 weeks. That's hard to get by on if you pay rent and have insurance.
Once in a while I'd get more if I worked overtime with approval and ridiculously long hours.
