I used to drink beer and hard liquor and I would be a little heavy. Now I drink dry red wines and I am as slim as I was in high school. By the way I am in my 60s.

No! Wine does not make you fat, just as (in reality) beer does not create a "beer belly". Weight loss/gain is mostly just calorie intake vs. expense (though fats may lend more to gain since it takes less energy to convert fats to fats than carbs or whatever to fats). Wine contributes calories, which can help you gain - but then so can Twinkies. Wine isn't a specific culprit.

Rd wine actually has health benefits.It does not make you fat in moderation.
