Does a $10,000 reduction in a properties asessed value help lower property taxes much?

If the property tax rate is 1%, than the savings are 100 bucks a year, right or wrong?.

    Maybe.  As long as the rate stays the same, yes.  But if all the properties  around are also reduced, the rate might go up.
