When humans become extinct will insects become the dominant life form on earth?

Update:

I figure by that time we will have pretty much killed off most other animals.

News Flash - Humans are not the dominant life form by a long way. The insects already beat us. But they are as nothing to the plants and the real winners since the very start, bacteria.

I'm thinking the dominant life form on Earth is a marine cyanobacterium, and that's not going to change.

If we were gone, insects would still be at the bottom of the food chain, but some bugs are infamous for surviving. Maybe not insects in general, but some of the hardiest bugs would be strong contenders for dominant land life.
