Why do people save time when time is not bankable?

    So they can waste it, later.

    Saving time means doing something nasty or difficult,

    in less time.

    I get it's a joke, but in economic terms, there's a concept called "opportunity cost" where doing one thing means missing a chance to do another. And if you enjoy making yourself a constant bundle of agitated nerves as much as I do, you can apply it to your every day life! You too can be waiting in line trying to figure out the odds you'll get done in time to watch two shows in stead of just one. And when everyone else is watching you fidget wondering what your hurry is, you'll at least be able to take comfort in the knowledge that those odds were never very good to start with.
