why does my male cat hate his own kittens?
My male cat hates his own kittens every time he gets my cat pregnant he will hate the kittens.he hates them ever since they’re born.he will hiss, growl, and make these weird noises almost like if he wants to cough on them. Then when the kittens are 2 months or older he will slap them sometimes. He also is sort of feral because he’s an outdoor cat who only comes inside for food once or twice a day.he does not like being inside.he also sprays when he sees the kittens and once sprayed all over them when they were sleeping.he does fight sometimes so it might be for territorial reasons.but we try showing him they are little baby kittens but he doesn’t care.he can be a lovable cat but he gets scared of the slightest noise and feels very paranoid.he just does not like his kittens and sometimes treats my female adult cat(the mom) badly sometimes

Male cats do not have paternal instinct. They're not needed. The mother will care for the kittens & teach them what they need to know. If the kittens stay together, they will always get along. However, they will be less friendly to you.

The reason most females cats with kittens will attack any male cat that wanders by is because male cats are known to kill kittens. Neuter your tom, please.

Male cats have nothing to do with kittens. They often KILL the kittens to throw the female back into heat.
He doesn't know they are his, nor does he care.
Spay and neuter these cats. We have plenty of cats in shelters. It's senseless to allow them to keep reproducing.

As already said. He has no concept of being the father of these kittens. The females are another opportunity to mate, and the males, to be eliminated as they are/will be competition. You might (urgently) consider getting this male castrated, for the sake of your neighbourhood.

Cats do not comprehend relationships. The male cat has NO IDEA that those are his kittens.
If given a chance, some male cats will kill a female's kittens to bring her back into heat sooner. This may be the reason for some of the aggression towards the kittens.
As the kittens get older, the "father" cat will mate with any females. (He doesn't know they are his "daughters".) And, the "father" cat will fight with any males. It is a territorial issue in which he will establish himself as the dominant male and attempt to run off any other males.
