What are the advantages and disadvantages of turning 30?

For me turning 30 was when I finally matured. No longer a kid it was time to take life seriously. But that isn't a disadvantage. You're not dead by any means at 30.

Sadly the 'young stuff' will reject you when they find out.

The one advantage I remember vividly is that no older person assumes you're so young you don't know anything or have any experience. You've been an adult a long time at 30. This applies in family, in social circumstances, and at work.

As your 30s unroll, you may care less and less what other people think of you and more what you think of yourself. This is, of course, liberating.

In your 30s, you are still young and healthy enough to do nearly anything you want that's physical. Maybe you need to get back in shape or work up to it, but you can do it if that's what you want. Later, this is no longer possible.

You know what changes when you go from 29 and 364 days old to 30 years old?

You are a day older.

Nothing magical.

disadvantage:  You're closer to becoming a senior 

advantage:  you're closer to being eligible for senior discounts. 

You are scared of nothing. Your life will not change one bit the day you hit 30.
