    My Democrat/Liberal/Socialist friends tell me that both parents should be "gender neutral" in order to be equal.

    Why would that trigger anyone.  I'm Liberal and my teens call me 'Mum' the English version of your American version of 'Mom'.  What do Republicans want their children to call them, 'Madam' or 'Sir'!
