Calling the cops on my father?
Just curious could I call the cops on my dad if he started breaking stuff that he didn’t pay for that’s in his house? my grandma actually paid for these items not him that she gave to me so could I call the cops on him where I could start a lawsuit for damage to property not his? Yes, you can filea complaint with the police. A prosecutor will review the complaint and decide ifpursuing a lawsuit is in order. Destruction of property is a crime. I'm not sure if it is a civil matter, or not. But, the police wi l l.
