When you say you’re better than other people

When one's belief in one's self, one's own importance and one's own abilities becomes overblown and exceeds one's self, one's own importance and one's own abilities. Or in layperson's terms, when your mouth stops writing checks your @ss can cash and starts writing checks your @ss can't cash.
