If Africa is is Madagascar, which is a country, then why is Africa a continent?
In Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa, the animals are shown to go to Africa, a place in Madagascar. Normally countries are supposed to be in continents, like how Wales is in the European Union. So what went wrong here? Is this just scientific error, or is it a message from God that, no matter how small of a country you are, you can have a continent in you. Side note: i thought Africa was like bigger than Texas, why does it seem so small in the movie?

I am not really sure wht you are asking as your question meanders all over the place.
Madagascar is both a very large island and it is a country. It is off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean and is considered to be a part of Africa.
You cannot rely on an animated comedy film to be absolutely correct about geography.
I have no idea why you bring a god into this. Mythology is only going to further confuse the issue.

Africa is NOT in Madagascar. Madagascar is an Island off of the East Coast of Africa.
The European Union is not a Country or even a Place. It is an organization.
You must have not taken Geography in School.

1) There's no reason why a country can't be in more than one continent. Russia is considered part of both Europe and Asia.
2) The European Union is neither a continent nor a country;
3) It's a stupid movie. Just because the animals in the movie talk doesn't mean they can in real life does it?
