    The only difference is that less people protest when they are used for research. They are considered more ethical to use than monkey fetuses. There is a future possibility of human organs being grown in pigs for transplants. Certain sections of pig DNA are removed and replaced with human DNA, prompting the growth of human organs. Pigs are around the same intelligence level as dogs.
