Windows XP is working like Crap , should I upgrade to Vista?
My computer running windows XP won’t boot up at all anymore, i get a blue screen error and the system just keeps restarting.
I don’t have an xp reinstall disc and I was able to find a copy of vista ultimate at a pawn shop for 150 dollars
The system has 4gb of ram, a gpu with 512 mb of graphics card ram, a 1.5 ghz cpu, a dvd and CD burner a 3 and a 5 inch floppy drive, sd card reader, usb 3.0 card, and a 56 k modem, it also has a gigabit network adapter that a computer store added when aol quit working.
Windows had all the spam pop ups and and files disappearing and such and a few days after I noticed the problem windows stopped properly booting.
What is the problem? Would installing vista fix it?

You can upgrade it to vista or try windows 7. You can get answered your all queries about vista. But I don't think either of those programs are supported by windows any more, and security updates are non existent for them. Better get into windows 10 and better computer.

Vista is evil. You will hate it. M$ refers to it as version "V". They want to forget they ever made it.
But you have no choice so give it a go.
Personally I would move to Windows 10 and bypass the old obsolete ones you never have to use.

Both windows are old and perform poorly so if there is an availability of getting windows 10 it will work way better, but when it comes to XP Vs Vista. XP is actually better.

While you're on a kick with crappy a**ed operating systems why not go all out and install a copy of Windows 98?

Google Windows XP repair disk - I hope to god you didn't give a pawn show $150 for a copy of Vista.
Amazon has several repair disks for about $10.

I think you need to buy a new computer, and skip upgrading to Vista, which was pretty much a lousy OS.
