Why oh why can't the federal minimum wage be $15 an hour?

I live in Arkansas and i have to work 30 hours a week at $10 an hour because my rent is $450 plus utilities plus I have to pay for some of my own food and the scariest thing is that the supplemental COVID19 money given to people such as myself, it will be $200 a month gone and I will have to work more like 40 hours a week! minimum wage will be raised to  $11 an hour soon but that won't help me much what I need is more 415 an hour so I only have work like 25 hours a week you racists!

Update:

In a perfect world I wouldn't have to work at all because big brother would take care of all my needs in a socialist utopia!

In Ontario Canada the minimum wage is $14.25 an hour. In Alberta Canada the minimum wage is $15 an hour. Anonymous says "get a second job". Should anyone in a civilised country have to work 70 hours a week, just to survive?

Get a second job then. When I was still working, I put in about 70 hours a week at 2 jobs.

I am not sure - it should be.  In Australia, it is $16, but in the US and Canada, it is something like under $8.

Good attempt at trolling. Here is a real democrat, like me:

Earned minimum wage being a tire tech in 1997. Worked 60 to 70 hours a week with overtime pay. Rent at that time was 410 a month for me, no utilities included. I could not afford a vehicle at the time, so I walked two miles to work every morning to clock in at 6:30. Got off work at 5:00. Walked 2 miles back to apartment.

Immediately drop what you are doing and look for a higher paying job rather than waiting for a handout
