They ignored any guarantee included by a vendor (if there was any such guarantee) when doing the evaluation. Including the different guarantees that different vendors might offer would complicate the evaluation by introducing issues that are not strictly relevant and difficult to generalize. The purpose of the evaluation is a generalized result. Therefore, they ignored guarantees if they even existed.
