If your periods are very regular, you ovulate toward the middle of the month. Day 1 is when your period starts. If you have a 28 day cycle, your ovulation is around day 14. If your cycle is longer or shorter, it’s usually about 2 weeks before your next period. If you’re irregular, then it’s hard to predict. Assuming a regular 28 day cycle, your fertile window is around day 9-16. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside you to wait for ovulation, and the egg is good for about 2 days. That’s about a 7 day window each month. You can buy ovulation test kits so you know exactly when you’re most fertile. If you want to conceive, it’s best to have sex at least every couple days anytime you’re not on your period or PMS. That’s the fun part, so might as well just do it as much as possible.

Women who have a 28 day cycle do ovulate on about day 14. If you have a very predictable pattern to your periods and a 28 day cycle - then you probably are "most fertile" at about 14 days after the first day of your period.
BUT - if you are a woman with a longer cycle - then that information is wrong for you. Ovulation actually happens ABOUT 14 days BEFORE the NEXT PERIOD - not 14 days after the last period. If you have a 35 day cycle - this means your likely ovulation point is closer to day 21.
Remember that sperm can live for up to five days. This means sex during the few days before you think ovulation will happen is more likely to be successful than waiting for the actual day of ovulation. The egg only lives 12 to 24 hours - so waiting until you think it is your ovulation day means you might miss it if you was wrong by just a few HOURS.
Your change in vaginal moisture MIGHT indicate ovulation will happen soon - or it might just be a vaginal reaction to something. (the vagina is "self cleaning" and sometimes additional moisture is just a natural process of the vagina taking care of a perceived problem.)

You are most fertile roughly 14 days after the first day of your period regardless of when you stopped give or take a couple of days. If you are on day 11 or 12, then yes you are likely approaching your fertile time.
