Is it okay to date a woman with a high iq (120+) if my iq is around 80? ?

Most women at within your IQ range, so you’re actually in luck.

When it comes to dating couples do not start comparing their iqs .There are so many other important factors that attract couples .Whether the couple see eye to eye with regard to matters of common interest .There is nothing to say that an affair with an intelligent woman will be a failure .Such women understand things much better and can handle difficult situations effectively .There is nothing wrong with dating a woman with high iq. provided she accepts you .

Of course. "Smarts" isn't the most important thing. The most important thing is CHARACTER. When a fellow is of good character -- honest, loyal, kind, hard working, responsible, and so on -- it doesn't matter that much that he "isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer." The person who is wonderfully intelligent but dishonest, disloyal, cruel slothful, irresponsible, is inferior. 

You will both become bored quickly.

As long as she is ok with it, why wouldn’t it be ok?

It's possible to train up your IQ if it hurts your pride. 21st century gaming has been proven to help in many areas related to IQ, and if you've ever gamed with some people, you'd think they had less IQ than a potato. That said, IQ isn't everything in success, and success isn't the only thing you should care about. The only reason I'd think of off the top of my head for not dating somebody with a high IQ, is if it made them arrogant.

Sure. What makes you think women want to be with someone exactly like them? Women don't want perfect anyways, it's boring to them. This is why opposites attract.

There are plenty of successful couples who have differences in all sorts of areas.  I don’t think intelligence would be a dealbreaker unless it seriously affects the relationship somehow.

Ask her, not us.  With any couple, there's going to be some mismatch.  Could be athleticism, weight, economic status, temperament.  Intelligence is no different.  Not my place to judge.
