Iranians, after 40 years which one do you guys prefer Islamic republic or monarchy?
I spoke with loads of Iranian classmates of mine who are in their 20's and they speak fondly of Reza shah & Mohammad Reza shah and call the 1979 revolution the worst mistake their nation made. they tend to cuss at the mollahs every opportunity they get. now I was wondering if the majority of Iranians are in the same boat as them? especially those who saw both governments what are your thoughts?

You would probably only get answers from ex-pat Iranians on here, who are probably biassed since they left the country. Also, probably around half the population was born after the Shah was deposed and a large number of other Iranians live in remote areas where Tehran probably doesn't have much influence on their communities.

One of my friends in college had to flee the country, because if his family's connenctions to the Shah, landed here. Taught me to play bridge and set up games like Risk in the dorm. Great guy. Opened up my eyes on who the "terrorists" were. Iran and US interference goes way back.

They are too young to even know the guy. He was ousted because he was a US and UK friendly puppet put in place by the CIA after the previous guy wanted to nationalize the oil for the people.
