Even if Chauvin is acquitted, is he a marked man for life?

Of course.  He has probably had thousands of death threats and someone probably intends to follow through.  If I were him, I would change my name and change my appearance and move far away.  If he goes to prison he may well be killed by someone who thinks they are performing a public service.

Yes, but he won't be. This is  show trial. It has already been decided that the poor guy is going to be sacrificed to the multicultural god.
