Why do people get dogs that they can't control?

Many people want dogs as pets. Many people also do not begin puppy training. Large breeds especially need training from a young age & social skills. It is easy for many dog owners to overlook training because their dog is well behaved inside the home, or sometimes. The key is consistency. Many people want to love on their dogs, but forget all discipline. This may be ok with some breeds. But, for owners aggressive or alpha dogs they will find themselves in a pickle if they are not the leader of the pack.

Why do people have kids they can't control?

Because many in the US have a serious case of the "I Want"s.  They feel that their "wants" should be met, like spoiled children, even if what they want is a living creature that will not do well with them.  

Because they want the dog to be in control.

Cause they are 100% ignorant about dogs.  They know nothing about dogs so the dogs are mistreated, abused, not trained to do anything, so dog & owner are both ignorant.  I feel sorry for these dogs, they could me in homes that really care about dogs.

All too often today it's a 'buy it NOW' situation without any serious thought about what having a dog actually means, sadly.   And all too often there are BYBs out there just wanting to part the gullible from their money.

Sometimes people buy a dog on a "whim" without doing any research on the breed they buy, so therefore have no idea what their traits are.  Sometimes people do not know how to train a dog properly, any dog that is, so therefore any breed or mix can be out of control depending on it's owner.  Then there are BREEDERS who don't breed to the breed standard when it comes to temperament, and when a buyer buys such a dog from a Backyard Breeder, they may be expecting some traits of that breed but the dog just doesn't have those traits that it should have, which for the most part has to do with their genetics.  Those so called breeders also don't care about what they breed or who they sell to, because they are just out for the money without any care about anything else BUT $$$$.

The point is, if you know someone who can't control their dog and if you're close enough friends with them, maybe you could suggest that they sign up for a training class with their dog, so therefore the trainer can teach the owner how to train their dog.  A person has to work with their puppy or dog daily, in order for them to be trained and have good manners.  Dogs don't come pre-trained.  It takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

Anyone can control any dog if they put the work in and train it.........so clearly those who have dogs they can't control have not trained them, lots of people 'assume'  they don't need to spend time and effort training, so their dog is well behaved for them and the  society they live in
