If a 8ohm amp board has two channels and I connect x4 8ohm speakers to it, will the load on the amplifier still be 8ohm? I'm not wiring in series or parallel
How is it series if it’s a 2 way speaker with a crossover?

You can only connect (1x) 8 ohm per channel, or (2x) 4 ohm in series per channel. Period.

If you connect two 8 ohm speakers to a 8 ohm output, you are putting a 4 ohm load on the amplifier and yes, you ARE wiring in parallel.
