Relatively new Yahoo member (past year or so), so did anyone else get the shutdown message and know what it's about??

The shutdown announcement is posted at the top of every YA page. It's about Verizon Media closing YA (no specific reason was given) likely due to the site not generating enough revenue to make it worth cleaning up and maintaining. It's been going downhill for years, and it's really surprising Verizon Media kept it active this long.
