Why doesn't "Harry Potter" feel like a Warner Bros. franchise?

Every Warner Bros. movie has that hood nonsense about it, and yes i prefer Woody Woodpecker and Tom and Jerry and Hanna-Barbera (cartoons that truly did rock) over "Looney Tunes"/"Merrie Melodies." But there's something about that movie that makes it seem more like a New Line, Universal, Disney, Fox, even Columbia movie. Why? I don't think Bugs Bunny or the Warner shield or trumpet music. The movie is cutesy. Now I hate the anti-autistic overtones of this movie. After all JK Rowling is a fan of anti-autistic Autism Speaks supporting Alfonso Cuaron, so I wanna punch both these jokes to their Latin race.

Update:

Is it perhaps due to the fact that this is a British production and Warner was not the original distributor?

I agree with you, it did feel a lot more like a series new line would make. You're probably right, I think I've read before that WB originally wanted to make the movie animated and cover multiple books but Rowling refused and her people demanded more control. I mean yeah they were probably right to do that because everyone involved is now very wealthy.
