Vegan and vegetarians debate this with me ?
Im vegetarian and slowly transitioning to veganism and I’m with someone who only eats meat and as I’m looking at my morals I’m somewhat questioning is it bad I don’t want to pay for my boyfriends meals because he is ordering meat and I’m contributing to that? It is not a super big deal but I want to hear other vegans opinions on is paying for other peoples meals when they order meat still contributing? I would feel bad if I don’t pay for my boyfriends meals when I take him out just because he’s ordering meat but part of me is like ehhhh.

I think there's a fundamental problem with being with someone whose diet is substantially unlike yours if you are, for example, vegan for ethical reasons (i.e. actually vegan as opposed to plant-based). I used to be with a meat-eater but that was because my standards were too low and I was lonely and desperate. It isn't good. So I would advise you to consider your future together. Maybe he will change his mind and give up meat?
