I don't believe Facebook to do that. Perhaps Facebook employees did. As members of a generally prosperous industry which play slide of educated people living mostly in urban California, they tend to be more liberal than average. What Mark Zuckerberg, as opposed to Facebook, did do was donate several hundred million dollars to local governments to help conduct the election. That's different from donating to a candidate

A better question would be, how come Trump is using campaign contribution money to pay his lawyers for his defense and also using the money for his new social media?

Book deals are quite good. You get your man to say he will write a book and a publisher, who is also in your pocket, will give him $10 million up front. Actual book sales are immaterial.

Same with fine art. You might be given a piece of art and the following year it could be sold for $millions. The buy-back could be pre-agreed. No questions asked.

You might be in an overpaid job e.g. Hollywood A-Lister. Part of the agreement could be that you "voluntarily donate" a few $million to the Democrats or a related cause each year.

The movie industry is a good bet for money laundering. If they say they acquired that $100 million from ticket sales in China, who would ever be able to prove anything different?

You could be in your job as a front man for, say, Big Tech and the same donation rules might apply.
