What are some fruits you can grow in your backyard in north Texas? ?

    Hannah, you can grow peaches, plums, and pears (trees).  It's too hot for apple trees.  Berries that can be grown are strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries.  It's too hot for blueberries.  It's also too hot to grow cherries. Banana trees will freeze in the winter, and they don't produce fruit in the north Texas climate. Lemon and orange trees don't do well in Texas heat, although they will grow in AZ and CA.  Go to Neil Sperry's website and check his recommendations. He is a north Texas gardening expert.
