What's Wrong With My Gaming PC?

I have a Ryzen 2200g CPU and a MSI ATX B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. I got a CPU Red light and I’m trying to figure out what the problem is. I’ve tried replacing and returning the motherboard that doesn’t work. I’ve tried taking the CMOS Battery, that doesn’t work. I’ve tried to jump the CMOS pins next to the battery numerous times, that doesn’t work and all of the above solutions don’t work on the two motherboards I’ve tried. The CPU pins work fun and so does the CPU fan. What’s the problem? I’m getting really tired of figuring this out it’s not like I can easily replace these things and I can’t afford a repair person (not like they would be any help especially Geek Squad). Also my monitor is just a black screen even though it works good so there’s no point in going into BIOS.

Do you have the CPU power cable connected? That's the eight pin (or four pin) from the PSU to a separate power connector near the CPU.

It's a very common omission when connecting a PSU.

Other than that, connect a speaker to the speaker pins near the motherboard front panel header connections. That should produce "beep codes" that give some clue to what the problem is, when it cannot get as far as showing the display.

You can also get a "POST Code card" with a digital display, that you put in an expansion slot. They have a two or four digit readout that shows what exact stage of the startup sequence the machine is getting stuck at.

take it to a technician so he can thoroughly test the system, starting with the power supply.
