Do bank tellers compare other peoples paychecks with their paychecks?

They look at other people paychecks when they deposit them all the time. Do they often compare what other people get paid compared to what they get paid?

I haven't had a check from work to deposit in over 25 years.  Everything is direct deposit for which no teller will ever see.

The bank teller SEES a check.

They have no way to know it's a payroll check.

If they see you tear your pay stub off of it, they don't know if it's part-time, full-time, paid weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly.

And they have no idea of what the job is.

So there is really no way they can do any comparison.

Of course they do. I feel like they can definitely lose their jobs for getting personal about it though.
