Why can't a state have any kind of voting laws that it wants when it comes to just when voting happens?
and even have election day voting only, and only in the hours between say 11:00am and 4:00pm. Sure some people will get upset, but if the legislature passes that law, its the law, and who has the power to force them to open up voting for more hours and why, should anyone outside of that state think they can tell them what to do if the state wants it that way?

You should go back to your American History books and study Jim Crow laws and voter suppression laws in the south prior to the 1965 Civil Rights Act. Limiting any qualified voter's right to vote is illegal. We should make voting easier, not harder.
Everyone's vote counts - your and mine. It shouldn't matter what party we vote for, our sex, color of our skin, etc. Voting is important and we saw that in the 2020 election. We need to protect voting rights, not limit them.

Well a state can have any rules that it wants for state and local elections as long as it does not violate the U.S. Constitution. .
For Congressional elections, Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution allows Congress to override state laws. "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature, thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations except as to the Place of Chusing Senators."
Additionally, there are certain other amendments that create certain rights connected with voting.
Finally, the Constitution requires that every state have a republican form of government. Article IV, Section 4. There is a certain point at which an election is no longer free and fair which would arguably violate the republican form of government clause.

As long as the legislature makes reasonable accommodations to allow people to vote. People can disagree on what's reasonable, at least to some extent, but a five hour window seems too narrow to me.

The US Constitution leaves it up to the State Legislatures to determine the voting laws in the state. That is why the law being attempted by the democrats is invalid.

When the Federal Government or that which calls itself such imports and rubber stamps a Proxy population for the real purpose of Gerrymandering the votes to achieve it's own goals of murder or genocide it wants to insure that the STATES as local governing entities do not interfere this is and was the SINGLE largest issue concerning STATE RIGHTS which usually is made up of people who actually belong there from governing and protecting themselves from imposed tyrannies that started the CIVIL WAR and those fires were stoked by outside international influences that even to day still use ALL the America's as their PERSONAL dumping grounds for their POPULATIONS and also for acquiring WEALTH which is generally someone else's to begin with...
