Can I use a 6 pin to 24pin on a ATX Motherboard?

I have HP 750 watt platinum server psu and I was wondering if I could use a 6 pin to a 24 pin adapter to power a atx motherboard.

    doesn't work.  many of the 24 pins would be unpowered ...
